COMEDY CENTRAL RETURNS AS DEVELOPMENT PARTNER FOR 2015
 

Network to offer development deal to outstanding Official Selection

comedy centralJUST ANNOUNCED: The New York Television Festival and Comedy Central have teamed up once again to offer emerging TV writers and producers the opportunity to win a development deal with the network.

Comedy Central is looking for fun, fresh points of view that fit into the network's brand of comedy. The following scripted-comedy formats would apply: sketch, narrative/single-camera sitcom, animated, and "late night" comedy (game shows, panel shows, etc.).

To qualify for the Comedy Central Development Deal, independent creators must enter a comedy project into any one of the NYTVF's 2015 initiatives, including the annual Independent Pilot Competition (IPC), which is now accepting independently produced television and digital pilots in all genres through June 29. Projects named "Official Selections" in 2015 will be eligible for consideration by Comedy Central.

3RD ANNUAL NYTVF-HISTORY UNSCRIPTED PIPELINE ANNOUNCES 15 SEMI-FINALISTS
 

Creators will participate as Official Artists at the 2015 NYTVF

historyThe NYTVF is proud to announce the fifteen semi-finalist projects in the 3rd annual HISTORY Unscripted Development Pipeline. All of the selected producers will have their projects reviewed by the network. Five finalists will be named by HISTORY and create additional tape under the guidance of the channel and the NYTVF. One winner, selected by HISTORY, will be awarded the opportunity to produce a pilot presentation with a minimum $25,000 budget in conjunction with NYTVF Productions.

Additionally, the semi-finalists have the opportunity to participate in the 2015 New York Television Festival as Official Artists.

On April 8, join the NYTVF for its first event of 2015: an exclusive discussion of independent TV and the players, strategies, and trends that will shape its future. NYTVF Founder Terence Gray will be joined by Paul Davidson from The Orchard, an emerging power player in indie film that is producing its first indie television series with the NYTVF, and Phil Matarese & Mike Luciano, whose web series Animals was an NYTVF Official Selection and Award Winner and who recently premiered new episodes at Sundance with Executive Producers Mark and Jay Duplass.
