NYTVF Information Session tomorrow at The People’s Improv Theater in NY
The 5th annual New York Television Festival is now accepting entries for its 2009 Independent Pilot Competition! Since there are often lots of questions about all elements of the festival, we are having an informal info session for members of our community. Festival staff will be there to answer any questions you might have, so we hope you will be able to join us!

Social Media Week Launches in NYC with Free Events

On Feb. 9, 2009, Social Media Week (SMW) launches for the first time in New York City. It aims to create an open and inclusive environment offering a series of free events, including workshops and panel discussions, and a platform for individuals, group and companies to organize their own activities. Below are two of the many free activities that members of the NYTVF Community might be interested in attending.

KlickableTV Presents: Social Video Platforms In this panel we will discuss different applications and platforms that publishers and marketers are deploying to add aspects of social media to their videos to increase traffic, registration, and return on investment.
Roger Wu, President of KlickableTV and Rodney Mason, CMO of Moosylvania will provide an overview of techniques currently being used including: voting, live chat features, trivia and icons and TV-themed online communities that let users obsess over plot points and share favorite episodes.
