The NYTVF is proud to announce that Lifetime Television has joined the Flying Solo TV Pilot Contest! Lifetime will assist the NYTVF and Procter & Gamble Productions in promoting the contest and will exclusively present the pilots starring the winners of the contest later this year on MyLifetime.com.
The “Flying Solo TV Pilot Contest” invites recent female college graduates to audition for the chance to make their lives the subject of a television pilot produced by PGP. The pilot will be shopped to network partners of the NYTVF for distribution. These pilots will combine professionally shot, third-person footage of the subject’s life with first-person footage shot by the subject. The objective is to discover budding female storytellers who not only lead interesting lives, but also have a unique ability to capture and present them on video.
The deadline for entries has been extended until Tuesday, June 3rd, so if you are a recent female college graduate, enter today for your chance to star in a TV show about your life today! If you know a recent female college grad, please spread the word of this unique opportunity to get started on a career in television.

The Fox Comedy Script Contest invites aspiring comedy writers to enter an original half-hour comedy script for the chance to win $25,000 and a development deal with the Fox Broadcasting Company. Entries to the contest will start being accepted at 12 noon Eastern time on Monday, June 2nd. Submissions will stop being taken at 11:59 PM Eastern on June 13th or when the contest receives 1,500 entries, whichever comes first.
Scripts must be original and between 25 and 35 pages in length. All scripts must be registered or copyrighted to be eligible for the contest.

The early submission deadline for the 4th annual Independent Pilot Competition is approaching. Entries received by the Festival before 11:59 PM on Monday, June 2nd will receive a $20 discount on the $50 entry fee. The final submission deadline is 11:59 PM on Monday June 30th. Good luck!
