Inaugural class of NYTVF Fellows Named
The NYTVF has announced an innovative program pairing outstanding pilotmakers in this year's Independent Pilot Competition with some of the biggest producers in the TV industry. The NYTVF Fellowship program gives our artists the chance to work with leading TV producers, who will offer guidance on the recipients' next TV project. The NYTVF is proud to announce the first class of NYTVF Fellows:
· Barry Gribble – Executive producer, director, and writer of the comedy pilot Codeword Secret (Mentored by Phil Rosenthal)
· Anne Jarmain – Executive producer and writer of the drama pilot, Dear Harvard (Mentored by Mitchell Hurwitz)
· Kevin Napier – Executive producer, director, and writer of the comedy pilot Ex-Pats: Bangalore (Mentored by Tom Fontana)
· Naren Young – Producer, writer, and co-star of the nonscripted travel pilot, The Happy Hour (Mentored by Michael Davies)
These top producers will offer their time with the selected Fellows and give them guidance over the course of six months. If the Fellow produces a pilot from the idea that was developed as part of the mentorship, it will receive a special out-of-competition screening at the 2008 NYTVF. Congratulations to the inaugural class of recipients!
